How to pronounce designer names


Everyone feels like their tongue is stuck with words when trying to pronounce some of the trickier names in the fashion World? With the recent completion of work Fashion Week New York, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with everything that is happening in the Big Apple. Fashion news and parades are seemingly everywhere, inundating our Instagram feed, magazines, TV shows, and sometimes even our traditional news media. And if you realize it or not, Fashion Week, undoubtedly plays a very important role in our culture, what it is in the media to what clothes we put on every day, trends born in Manhattan and finally reach our very favorite retailer bargain.

So maybe you cannot wait to join the talk of fashion week, but there is a problem: How do you pronounce designers? You may fall in love with the new line of Prabul Gurung while browsing the Huffington Post, but never talk about it aloud for the sheer fear, either completely spoil the pronunciation.

We’re not about to let you hold your tongue for fear of sounding silly.
