This summer, we challenge you to incorporate more prints into your wardrobe! From vibrant floras to modern geometrical patterns, here are some of our favorites to inspire your summer look.
Adapt head to toe prints
The key to wear one print from head-to-toe is wearing a well-fitting clothes so the busy patterns don’t swamp your frame.
Wear a well-coordinated with your shirt tucked into your skirt for a tidy finish, or choose slightly cropped trousers in a slightly larger prints so that your skin gets a showing.
Stick with your staples
If you are new to prints and patterns, then ease yourself in gently by trying a patterned skirt with a plain shirt, or vice versa.
For a stylish look, twin a crisp, white shirt with patterned skirt or trousers to get the impact of a bold print without going all out.
Wear two prints at once
If you wish to layer one print over the other, select two styles that are different in size and style so that one obviously dominates over the other.
Wear a shirt or sweater with a smaller print underneath a brighter and bolder buttoned up dress with a more blocky design, so as not to over-complicate the whole look.
Add a scarf
Even a flash of color can really elevate an outfit into something special so try accessorizing a plain outfit with a jewel bright scarf.
Scarves are so versatile – use one to tie up your hair, run it through belt loops or even use it as a strap for your handbag.
Mix and match
Avoid going for anything too same – so no stripes from head to toe. If you want to go for an all in one look, select a matching a T-shirt with thin stripes with a bag that has large stripes, and make sure the colors don’t clash.
Wear big and bold accessories
My designs tend to make a real statement, from chandelier style earrings that accentuate the colors in an outfit, to luxurious gold and crystal necklaces and studded cuffs.
Take risks with textures
When I am designing I love to play with different textures as this can create a really interesting look.
Now we’re ditching our winter boots and wearing more dainty footwear, the socks we choose are suddenly under scrutiny.
